Happy New Year!
Yeah, I know, I’m a little over a week late, but it has taken me that long to get back into the swing of things. I’m really excited about this year. 2016 was the year for facing my fears and stepping out in faith, and in 2017, I want to delve even deeper into that. I’ve already got some exciting opportunities that are pending (As Lin Manuel Miranda says as Alexander Hamilton, “Just you wait…”), but in the meantime, catch up on these two episodes of Monologue Monday (below). There are only two more episodes left until the season finale!
What are your goals for this year? What do you want to accomplish? When setting goals, make sure they are:
- Specific (“I want to lose weight”= general vs. “I want to lose 10 pounds”=specific)
- Time Sensitive (have a firm date/time to have the goal completed)
- Measurable (how do you know that the goal has been completed?)
Once you’ve created a goal that meets those 3 criteria, then make an action plan with specific steps that you’ll take in order to achieve the goal. Surround yourself with people who will encourage you and help keep you accountable. Take your time, and don’t overwhelm yourself by trying to accomplish too much. Just take it one goal at a time, one step at a time.
Wishing you a successful, prosperous, goal-achieving year. You can do it!
